Community Trade Information

Community Trade all started in 1987 in the Southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, with a hand crafted wooden footsie roller made by Teddy Exports, our very first Community Trade supplier. Today Teddy Exports still creates our popular footsie roller, along with many of our wooden accessories, cosmetic bags, gift bags and textile gifts and accessories. The craftsmen and women use traditional skills to hand craft our textile accessories, while many of our wooden accessories are hand turned on lathes.

DID YOU KNOW? In 2006 the first children graduated from Teddy’s school. A fantastic achievement for children who may not otherwise have had any formal education.
