TOGETHER, WE'VE BEEN HELPING TO PROTECT ENDANGERED CREATURES
AND RESTORE RAINFORESTS.

In 2016, we raised funds to build an astonishing 17.2 million square metres of Bio-Bridges, bringing us closer to our 2020 target of 75 million square metres! Read on to find out more about our Bio-Bridges projects around the world.

WHAT IS A BIO BRIDGE?

We've been building Bio-Bridges to help protect the rainforest. Bio-Bridges are restored wildlife corridors within damaged landscapes that help endangered species reconnect, enabling them and local communities to live more sustainably. We want you to feel good inside and out, knowing you’re helping improve the livelihoods of local people and help endangered animals like Reggie, the Red-shanked Douc.

WHERE IN THE WORD

BUILDING BIO-BRIDGES IN INDIA

The project is focused on restoring important elephant corridor’s in the Garo Hills between the 2 national parks, as the forests are consistently under the threat of, slash and burn, where forests are cut down and set on fire. We’re working with our partners to ensure the correct funds are in place to help improve the sustainability and welfare of the environment.

BUILDING BIO-BRIDGES IN INDONESIA

Funds here will support the establishment of a Forest Management Unit in Sumatra to help protect the southernmost population of critically endangered orangutans and other endangered species, like the Sumatran Tiger, in the Batang Toru forest.

BUILDING BIO-BRIDGES IN MALAYSIA

In Malaysia we will be working with partners to prevent habitat fragmentation, the greatest threat to endangered animals, like the Malayan Tiger and Asian Elephant. Our Bio-Bridge will help allow critically endangered wildlife to roam in a larger protected landscape of Endau Rompin.
